Workshop on ‘Developing Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship among Agri-Graduates” organized at College of of Food Processing Technology & Bioenergy

08 March 2023 - A workshop on ‘Developing Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship among AgriGraduates’ was organized at College of Food Processing Technology & Bioenergy in collaboration with National Academy of Agriculture research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad under the National Agriculture Higher Education Project (NAHEP) on February 24, 2023.

100 undergraduate students from B. A. College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Information Technology and College of Food Processing Technology & Bioenergy participated in the programme.

The resource persons of the workshop included Dr. Mukesh Modi, Assoc. Professor, J&J College of Science, Nadiad and Dr. Kalpesh V Gohil, Asst. Professor, Sardar Patel College of Administration & Management, Bakrol who delivered excellent lectures on the topics of ‘Communication skills for career development’ and ‘Team Work & Team Building’ respectively. Their sessions also included group activities in which all the students actively participated.

Er. Harsh Zalavadiya, Business Executive, AAU Incubation Center, Anand gave information about ‘Government initiatives & support for Entrepreneurship among Agri-graduates’. Mr. Nikunj Soni, CEO, AIC, Anand delivered a lecture on ‘Innovations & Start-ups: A precursor to Entrepreneurship’. The valedictory function was graced by Director of Students Welfare Dr. D H Patel and Dr. Samit Dutta , Principal & Dean, College of FPTBE, AAU, Anand.

Dr. D. H. Patel motivated the students to become job providers and not job seekers. He also explained the differences between hard skills and soft skills and how to effectively apply them in different situations.
